Girlythings73, World Headquarters

As some of you may know I live in a small home, about 1356 square feet to be exact. We built this home 10 years ago, in our 20's, and before we had kids. We have 3 bedrooms (two rather small). 10 years ago we actually had an official office and guest room. 7 1/2 years ago Stella came, then we had a combination guest room/office left. Then, 2 1/2 years ago Dane came. We then created a small nook in our master closet that we lovingly call our "cloffice" which is an office in our closet :-). This area then not only housed our clothes and shoes, but our desk and computer. For a few years I have wanted to have a craft area and I got my wish a couple months ago, well sorta. Since we went to laptops we got rid of our desktop and I talked the hubby into letting me have the cloffice desk, well mostly. The bottom drawer still holds all the neccessary files and boring paperwork a home must have, and there are some places for bills, modem, etc. on top but for the most part it houses my craft supplies and gives me a small space to create in. One of these days I will have the studio of my dreams, but for now I am quite content in my little "craficet" - combination closet, craft area, and closet. Tonight after work my plans are to organize the craficet, or Girlythings73 world headquarters. After a weekend of thrifting, some crafting, and a jewelry show it is looking quite scary.

Busy, busy

Very busy weekend of thrifting, parties, and getting ready for my very first girls night out. My amazing friend Carrie is having an open house and was kind enough to include me and my handmade jewelry. Jewelry is something I have been toying around with for the last few months. I really enjoy it and am excited to get it out there. So tomorrow evening after work I get to show what I have been working on and am excited.

Did someone say "doilies"?

New doilies in the shop. Also a new quick little project. A white plaster belle found at Goodwill for $1.99 got a coat of pink paint and she now lives on my shelf. Love her.
